Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this program in-person, or can I do it online?

100% in-person, at our Irving facility. There's no online or Zoom option. Every hour is hands-on lab time. That's a deliberate choice. You can't learn to bend conduit or wire a panel through a screen.

How long until I'm working?

The program runs 8 weeks, evenings, Monday through Friday, 4:30 to 7:30pm, so you can keep your day job while you train. The next class starts August 23rd.

Do I need experience to enroll?

No prior experience is required for the Electrical Technician Program. If you're interested in the Data & Communications Technician Program instead, that one requires at least a year of electrical work experience or prior electrical training.

What does it cost, and is financing available?

The program is $8,000, all in: tuition, tools you keep, lab materials, and software. We offer weekly payment plans and financing through Affirm. Approval depends on credit, so your advisor will walk through what you actually qualify for on the call.
